His work is diverse ranging from contributing to bid teams to redesigning processes, and his interest lies within power and utilities, and oil and gas industries.
Umer says about his time in Cambridge "Some may feel that Cambridge is an accomplishment, a target achieved - their future. I certainly felt so. But stepping out of Cambridge and leaving my academic life behind, I realised that Cambridge actually marks a beginning for so much in one’s life. Cambridge has been the breeding ground of so many important discoveries. It has a remarkable history, found not only in its buildings but also in the traditions. World class academics coupled with the collegiate system provided me with the perfect environment for learning. And I am truly determined to bring this learning to the communities for their well-being as life is but life, and it needs civility to further it."
