Cambridge spin-out BlueGnome sold

BlueGnome, a University of Cambridge spin-out, founded in 2002 by Cambridge graduate Dr. Nick Haan (a Cambridge Commonwealth Trust alumnus) and Graham Snudden, has been sold to US-based life sciences giant Illumina.

The Cambridge company specialises in the screening of genetic abnormalities associated with developmental delay, cancer and infertility.

Nick and Graham will continue to lead the company, which will report to Illumina’s Diagnostics business.
