Trust renews its partnership with the Woolf Fisher Trust
Sir Noel Robinson, Chair of the Woolf Fisher Trust, visited Cambridge recently on the occasion of the renewal of the partnership with the Cambridge Trust.
Under this new agreement a further 20 PhD students from New Zealand will be supported to study at the University of Cambridge. The renewal ceremony was followed by a lunch at which Sir Noel was joined by Woolf Fisher Scholars currently in residence in Cambridge. The Chair of the Cambridge Trust and Provost of Kings College, Professor Michael Proctor, was also in attendance.
The late Sir Woolf Fisher was a passionate supporter of education in New Zealand. In 1960 he founded the Woolf Fisher Trust for the advancement of scientific and general education in New Zealand through its prestigious fellowships and scholarships.
The Woolf Fisher Trust works, via Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara, with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Woolf Fisher Scholarship at Cambridge, available to PhD applicants in any subject.
