Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara is responsible for the quality of university programmes in New Zealand. It administers a range of scholarships and represents the eight New Zealand universities in the public interest, both nationally and internationally.
Its members are the Vice-Chancellors of the universities, whose work covers many fields, such as statutory requirements, research, international policy, and IT and communications.
Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara works with the Cambridge Trust to support PhD students from New Zealand through a r Cambridge International Scholarship.
It also manages applications for the Woolf Fisher Scholarship at Cambridge, for PhD applicants in any subject, on behalf of the Woolf Fisher Trust.
