Scholarship information
These scholarships are for PhD students who are citizens of, or ordinarily resident in, Small Island Developing States of the Commonwealth pursuing courses in any subject with a focus on strengthening capacity in key themes within those States.

The scholarships are fully-funded and tenable at any College, and in any subject excluding premium rate courses.
Value
- University tuition fee (Home or International rate).
- Annual maintenance (sufficient for a single person).
- Student visa.
- Student Immigration Health Surcharge.
- Various additional benefits, including a personal research grant.
Conditions
- Any subject is eligible, but must have a focus on strengthening capacity in key themes within Small Island Developing States of the Commonwealth.
- Applicants must be either a citizen of and/or be ordinarily resident in one of the following countries:
- Africa: Mauritius / Seychelles
- Asia: Maldives
- Caribbean and Americas: Antigua and Barbuda / Bahamas / Barbados / Belize / Dominica / Grenada / Guyana / Jamaica / St Kitts and Nevis / St Lucia / St Vincent and Grenadines / Trinidad and Tobago
- Pacific: Fiji / Kiribati / Nauru / Papua New Guinea / Samoa / Solomon Islands / Tonga / Tuvalu / Vanuatu
How to apply
No separate application is required for this scholarship, only the application for admission to the University of Cambridge, which must be submitted by the funding deadline specific to your course. Please refer to the Postgraduate Course Directory.
