Jardine Cambridge Graduate Scholarship

This scholarship is available to Masters and PhD applicants from Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam.  It is awarded in any academic subject, and is only tenable at specific colleges.

Offered in partnership with the Jardine Foundation.

Value

  • University tuition fee
  • Annual stipend (sufficient for a single person)

Conditions

  • Candidates are not required to specify the eligible colleges on their admissions application, but must be willing to transfer
  • Eligible colleges are:
    • Downing College
    • Magdalene College
    • Peterhouse
    • Trinity College

How to apply

In addition to applying for admission to the University of Cambridge by the funding deadline specific to their course (please refer to the Postgraduate Course Directory), selected candidates will be asked, by the Trust, to apply for a Jardine Cambridge Graduate Scholarship

Jardine Foundation

The Jardine Foundation is an educational trust established in 1982 to mark the 150th Anniversary of the Jardine Matheson Group.

Jardines was founded as a trading company in China in 1832, and today is a diversified business group focused principally on Asia. The Group’s interests include companies that are leaders in the fields of engineering and construction, transport services, insurance broking, property investment and development, retailing, restaurants, luxury hotels, motor vehicles and related activities, financial services, heavy equipment, mining and agribusiness.

The Jardine Foundation aims to assist young people who have the potential to become outstanding citizens with a high commitment to their communities. It awards Jardine Scholarships annually to students at all levels, to enable them to attend educational establishments, primarily selected colleges at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

The Foundation is working with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Jardine Cambridge Graduate Scholarship. This scholarship is available to Masters and PhD students from the following countries: Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam. It will be awarded to candidates in any academic subject, and will be tenable at four colleges within Cambridge - Downing College, Magdalene College, Peterhouse and Trinity College.
