Quick Japan and the World Graduate Scholarship

This scholarship is available to PhD applicants of any nationality pursuing a PhD in Asian & Middle Eastern Studies (Japanese Studies) at the University of Cambridge. It is tenable at any College.

This scholarship is offered in partnership with Quick Co Ltd.

Value

  • University tuition fee (up to £35,000)
  • Annual stipend (sufficient for a single person)

Conditions

  • Subject area is Japanese Studies
  • Proposed research should relate to the Japan and the World initiative. More specifically, it should contribute to both the field of Japanese Studies and your discipline. It should also address Japan in the wider context of the world.  The Japan and the World Initiative aims to ensure Japanese Studies at Cambridge engages the study of Japan and East Asia in a comparative, integrated and global perspective.

How to apply

No separate application is required for this scholarship, only the application for admission to the University of Cambridge, which must be submitted by the funding deadline specific to your course (please refer to the Postgraduate Course Directory)

Quick Japan and the World Graduate Scholarship is funded by a donation from Quick Co Ltd to support PhD scholarships for students of Japanese Studies at the University of Cambridge. The aim of the scholarship is to stimulate world class research concerning the study of Japan or considering Japan in the larger context of the world.
