Funding Partner

The Roberta Sykes Indigenous Education Foundation

The Roberta Sykes Indigenous Education Foundation has been supporting indigenous Australian students for over 25 years.

It is named after Roberta 'Bobbi' Sykes, the first black Australian to graduate from an American university, who worked throughout her life to encourage the development of high educational aspirations in the indigenous community and to facilitate goals which had previously been described as 'overly ambitious', such as postgraduate study at world-renowned universities.
