New Grosvenor Scholar at Cambridge

Wanying Li arrived in Cambridge at the start of October to start a new chapter of her life – a Masters degree in Real Estate Finance, supported by a prestigious Grosvenor Cambridge Scholarship.

Gaining a place at Cambridge is an achievement in itself, but to gain a scholarship such as the Grosvenor Cambridge Scholarship in addition is testimony to Wanying’s talent. As part of the selection process, she was asked to write a short essay on the topic Prospects for Real Estate Markets in Asia, focusing on the areas that she thought were most relevant to the Grosvenor Group in Asia.

Wanying is no stranger to living and studying abroad – though born in China, she completed her first degree at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, gaining a BSc in Economics and Business. She hopes to work as an analyst in a professional real estate firm, before moving into the public sector and focusing on real estate development and housing policy.

The Grosvenor Group has supported students for many years, and has an ongoing agreement with the Cambridge Overseas Trust to co-fund students from China on postgraduate courses in the University’s Department of Land Economy. Grosvenor is also engaged in property development around the city of Cambridge, adding to the global list of dynamic cities where the Group is active.
