A new era for the Trust
Today, 1 August 2013, sees the launch of the new Cambridge Commonwealth, European and International Trust.
The Trust has been formed from the merger of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and the Cambridge Overseas Trust. It takes over all the activities and commitments of the former Trusts, but over the coming years will also be working towards the support of UK and EU students at the University.
In addition to taking a new name, the Trust is delighted to welcome two new members of staff. Helen Pennant has recently taken up the role of Director of the Trust, and will be leading the organization into its fourth decade of enabling students to benefit from study at one of the world's leading universities. She says, "Building on the principles of diversity and excellence which has made Cambridge one of the world's leading universities for the past 800 years, the Trust will offer a wider range of support to students, making Cambridge more accessible to the best in the world from all countries and all backgrounds."
Also joining the Trust is Matt Brothwell, who will be working as Database and IT Systems Officer.
