Trust scholars gather for annual reception

On Monday 27 April, more than 600 international students who are supported by the Trust gathered at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge for their annual Scholars' Reception.

The scholars, from 77 different countries, were able to meet with Trustees, senior representatives of the University, senior Museum staff and funding partners who contribute to scholarships awarded by the Trust.

The Trust awards approximately 500 scholarships annually, and supports in the region of 1,100 students in residence.

During the event, the attendees were free to wander and view the unique collections housed throughout the many galleries of the Museum, which was once described by the Standing Commission on Museums & Galleries as "one of the greatest art collections of the nation and a monument of the first importance".

Images of the event can be seen on the Trust's flickr page.
