HRH The Prince of Wales extends patronage
The Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust (established on 1 August 2013 from the merger of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and the Cambridge Overseas Trust) is delighted to announce the continued patronage of the organisation by HRH The Prince of Wales.
The Prince has been involved in the work of the Trust during its long record of achievement in making Cambridge accessible to the brightest students from all corners of the world and all parts of society: a mission which His Royal Highness has supported continuously since he was a founder Trustee of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust more than thirty years ago.
The Trust awards approximately 500 scholarships annually and supports between 1100 and 1400 students in residence each year from 85 countries across the world, including all countries of the Commonwealth.
As Patron of the Trust, His Royal Highness maintains his longstanding connection with Cambridge; he attended the University to read Archaeology and Anthropology, changing to History for the second part of his degree, and graduated from Trinity College in 1970.
