Trust’s Vacancy: Scholarships Administrator
The Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust is the largest provider of scholarships for students at the University of Cambridge, working with partners worldwide, to support students of outstanding academic merit under a variety of scholarship schemes.
A vacancy exists within the Scholarships team for an experienced full-time Scholarships Administrator. The team administers awards to selected students from around the world, at PhD, Masters and Undergraduate levels in all subjects and at all Colleges of the University of Cambridge.
The successful applicant will undertake a range of duties in support of the work of the Trust, to include: considering requests for additional payments; preparing documentation to present individual cases for approval; maintaining current student and archive records throughout the tenure of the student’s award; and updating student records on an in-house database (training will be provided) which holds details of scholarship payments.
The ideal candidate will have a good education, excellent all round communication skills and be able to interact professionally with a wide range of people, whether academic staff, funding partners, students, administrative staff and members of the public making enquiries by email, telephone and face-to-face. Experience of using complex databases is essential, as is the use of office technology including Microsoft Word and Excel.
We invite applications from individuals who are highly meticulous, accurate, organised, and willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities. They will need to be able to adapt quickly to change, be highly flexible in approach and able to work under pressure and with a wide and varied workload. We are looking for a conscientious team member who has good interpersonal and communication skills and who will contribute to the Cambridge Trust’s continuing success.
