Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara
Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara is responsible for the quality of university programmes in New Zealand. It administers a range of scholarships, and represents the eight New Zealand universities in the public interest, both nationally and internationally.
Its members are the Vice-Chancellors of the universities, whose work covers many fields, such as statutory requirements, research, international policy, and IT and communications.
Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara works with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Prince of Wales Cambridge International Scholarship, available to PhD applicants in any subject.
It also manages applications for the Woolf Fisher Scholarship at Cambridge, for PhD applicants in any subject, on behalf of the Woolf Fisher Trust.
A separate external application is required for this scholarship
To ensure that they are considered for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Check with Universities New Zealand the funding call deadlines and details of the application process, and apply accordingly; and
- Apply for admission to the University of Cambridge by the funding deadline specific to their course
