Cambridge International Scholarship

These prestigious scholarships are offered to applicants who are from countries other than the United Kingdom or Ireland, in any subject, who are highly ranked by their prospective Departments within the University, and are awarded on the basis of academic ability and research potential, examination results, and references. The financial situation of applicants does not affect selection. They are tenable at any College.

Cambridge Masters Studentship

These studentships are available to all applicants, regardless of fee status, for one-year postgraduate study in any subject.  They are tenable at any College. 

Applicants who have already obtained, or are about to graduate with, a Masters or PhD level qualification will not be eligible.

The Trust is unable to offer scholarships for part-time MSt courses at any Department within the University.  Please note, MSt courses are not the same as MASt courses (MASt courses are eligible).

Value:

Cambridge Opportunity Studentships and Get In Cambridge Studentships

Cambridge Opportunity Studentships are for Masters students from low-income households with experience of educational disadvantage who are set at the Home rate for fees. 

Get In Cambridge Studentships follow the same criteria and are reserved to address under-representation of students from Black, British Bangladeshi or British Pakistani backgrounds.

Application:

Conditions:

  • Essential Criteria: Applicants must not already be qualified at Masters level or higher, nor currently undertaking postgraduate study. You must also be able to agree with the following statement, and to provide evidence on request: I do not have the existing financial means (in the form of savings, assets, other awards, or an income independent of hours worked) to finance the proposed course of study.
  • Additional Criteria: In addition to the essential criteria above, other additional criteria is detailed on the admissions application form. If there are other challenging life circumstances you feel should be taken into account, for example, educational disruption due to moving school or illness, doing paid work during full-time undergraduate study, circumstances that limited your choice of undergraduate university, an unusual route to postgraduate study, or anything else, then you may be eligible.

DeepMind Technologies Limited is a world leader in artificial intelligence research and its application to real-world problems. DeepMind is pleased to offer the DeepMind Cambridge Scholarship, fully-funded scholarships for students studying AI-related fields, through the Cambridge Trust.

The scholarship programme is part of an effort to build a stronger and more inclusive AI community, to bring a wider range of experiences to the fields of AI and computer science. As such, the scholarships fully fund female and/or Black students to study AI-related fields at the University of Cambridge, these groups being currently under-represented. Scholars are also offered support from a DeepMind mentor, and have opportunities to attend leading AI academic conferences and DeepMind events. This scholarship is available to Masters and PhD applicants from Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam.  It is awarded in any academic subject, and is only tenable at Downing College, Magdalene College, Peterhouse or Trinity College.

This scholarship is available to applicants from Malaysia, for both undergraduate and postgraduate study.  It is tenable at any College.

  • Undergraduate applicants should be under 20 years of age, and postgraduate applicants should be under 40 years of age.

This scholarship is available to PhD research students in the University's research projects funded by the Wellcome Trust, in the field of Stem Cell Biology and Medicine. It is tenable at any College.

Application:

Value:
