Aker Scholarship at University of Cambridge

Application:

Candidates should apply direct to the Aker Scholarship in the year before that in which they wish to start their studies in Cambridge (1 October 2017 is the deadline for applying to study in 2018-19), and should also apply to the University of Cambridge by one of the two general course deadlines of 6 December 2017 or 4 January 2018 (check which is relevant to your chosen course).

This scholarship is available to Master's or PhD applicants from Jordan, Syria, Palestine (including Palestinians inside Israel) and Lebanon.

Priority is given to candidates living permanently in the Foundation's target countries; however, Syrian applicants who are currently residing elsewhere will be considered, due to the current circumstances in Syria.

There are no restrictions on academic subjects, but priority will be given to candidates who can demonstrate that their subject will enable them to contribute to the development of their home country.

Woolf Institute Cambridge Scholarship

This scholarship is available to PhD applicants in subjects relevant to the work of the Woolf Institute (the study of relations between Jews, Christians and Muslims) and to Masters applicants to the MPhil in Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies (Pathway A: Muslim-Jewish Relations).

This award is available to Ukrainian Masters applicants in the fields of Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Studies, Alternative Energies, Environment and Ecology, Law, and Public Administration.

Application:

In addition to applying to the University of Cambridge, an application is required to WorldWideStudies.

 

NB: the deadline for applications to the LLM in Cambridge in 2018-19 is 15 November 2017.

Conditions:

Successful applicants will be required to return to work in Ukraine for 5 years after completion of their degree courses in Cambridge.
