Cambridge Thai Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship may be awarded to applicants from Thaliand at any degree level (undergraduate or postgraduate), in any subject.  It is tenable at any College.

Application:

No separate application is required for this scholarship, only the application to the University of Cambridge for admission, which must be submitted by the funding deadline specific to your course (please refer to the Postgraduate Course Directory).

Conditions:

Applicants should require financial assistance in order to study in Cambridge.

This scholarship is available to Undergraduate applicants with international fee status, in any subject.  It is tenable at any College.

Application:

International applicants who are offered a place by a Cambridge College will be sent an application form to apply for Cambridge Trust Scholarships; those applicants will be considered for any awards administered by the Cambridge Trust for which they are eligible.

Carlos and Gabriela Rodriguez-Pastor Scholarship at Cambridge

This scholarship is available to Undergraduate applicants from Latin America in any subject.  It is tenable at any College.

Application:

International applicants who are offered a place by a Cambridge College will be sent an application form to apply for Cambridge Trust Scholarships; those applicants will be considered for any awards administered by the Cambridge Trust for which they are eligible.

Conditions:

Priority will be given to resident citizens of Peru.

Hill Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship is available to Russian students undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate study in any subject, who have undertaken a first degree at a Russian university. It is tenable at any college.

Application:

No separate application is required for this scholarship, only the application to the University of Cambridge for admission, which must be submitted by the funding deadline specific to your course (please refer to the Postgraduate Course Directory).

Conditions:

Applicants must undertake to spend at least one year in Russia after the end of their academic studies in the UK (scholars are not expected to return for at least the next two years, at which point policy will be reviewed).

Khazanah Cambridge Scholarship

This scholarship is available to applicants from Malaysia, for both undergraduate and postgraduate study.  It is tenable at any College.

Application:

Candidates are selected by Khazanah (not the Trust).  To ensure that they are considered for this scholarship, applicants must: 1) check with Yayasan Khazanah the funding call deadlines and details of the application process, and apply accordingly; and 2) apply for admission to the University of Cambridge by the funding deadline specific to their course (please refer to the Trust's main scholarships page for deadline and eligibility details).

Conditions:

  • Undergraduate applicants should be under 20 years of age, and postgraduate applicants should be under 40 years of age.
  • Successful applicants will be required to return to work in Malaysia for the number of years equal to the length of their scholarship (minimum 2 years).
  • Any academic subject (excluding Medicine) will be considered, but priority will be given to applications in Biosciences (Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genomics), Business, Economics, Electronics, Engineering, Finance, Law, Material Sciences, Nanotechnology and Public Health.

This scholarship is available to undergraduate applicants from Hong Kong in any subject.  It is tenable at any College.

Successful applicants who complete a BA at the University of Cambridge may apply for a further scholarship to continue on to a one-year taught postgraduate degree.

In addition to applying to the University of Cambridge, candidates should apply to the Friends of Cambridge University in Hong Kong.

Rowan Williams Cambridge Studentship

The Rowan Williams Cambridge Studentship is a programme established by the Cambridge Trust to support students who face severe barriers in coming to study in Cambridge. It is available to applicants at all levels, in any subject, and is tenable at any College.

Applicants should be from an area of instability or zone of conflict and, or have been, at risk of discrimination, persecution, suffering, violence or other abuse of their human rights.

Application:

To ensure that they are considered for this studentship, applicants must: 1) complete a separate Cambridge Trust application form by 31 January 2023; and 2) apply for admission to the University of Cambridge by the funding deadline specific to their course (please refer to the Postgraduate Course Directory).

Conditions:

Applicants should be from an area of instability or zone of conflict and, or have been, at risk of discrimination, persecution, suffering, violence or other abuse of their human rights.

The Beacon Scholarship at Cambridge

This scholarship is available to students from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda who are applying to take an undergraduate degree (BA).  It is tenable at any College.

Application:

In addition to applying for admission to the University of Cambridge, a candidate must register with the Beacon Scholarship and download a Nomination Form (to be completed by the Head of their current secondary school).

If a candidate is offered admission to the University of Cambridge, they will be required to complete a full Beacon Scholarship Application Form and Financial Disclosure.

Conditions:

  • Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential, and need financial assistance to study at the University of Cambridge.
  • Successful applicants are required to return to their home country within one month of the end of the scholarship.

Value:

The Cambridge Trust and The Beacon Equity Trust each contribute one-third of the total cost (including University tuition fee, College fee, annual stipend and annual airfare).  The balance of the cost is to be paid by the scholar's family/guardian.

Vicky Noon Cambridge Scholarship

This scholarship is available to undergraduate and Masters applicants from Pakistan, in the fields of Natural, Applied and Social Sciences.  PhD applicants are also considered on occasion.  It is tenable at any College.

Conditions:

  • Preference will be given by the Foundation to applicants planning to take courses that would be beneficial to the development of Pakistan.
  • Scholarships will normally only be awarded to applicants who have not previously studied outside Pakistan.
