Anna Nye
Associate Director, Student Support
Anna Nye joined the Cambridge Trust in 2022. She has long since been passionate about and involved in creating equality of access to excellent education.
As Associate Director for Student Support, Anna is responsible for working with philanthropists to secure support for collegiate Cambridge's Student Support Initiative. This will see direct support for students established through fully funded scholarships, alongside enabling key initiatives that broaden access to Cambridge and create an outstanding student experience. Anna is part of the Cambridge Trust and Cambridge University Development & Alumni Relations; her cross-cutting role ensures that philanthropic student support is awarded to the most deserving students and in line with the supporter's wishes.
Having held a number of roles at Cambridge since 2018, Anna has a broad perspective on philanthropy within the University of Cambridge ecosystem. Prior to this, she studied Russian, French and Polish at Homerton College at the University of Cambridge. This included a year spent working at an international charity in Novosibirsk (only possible through philanthropic support), which cemented her desire to be involved in creating meaningful educational opportunities.
Anna is a trustee of HoverAid, a development charity that uses hovercraft to serve remote wetland communities. She is committed to her church and enjoys theatre, music and the rich cultural life of Cambridge.
