DeepMind partners with Trust to widen access in computer science

World leader in artificial intelligence research and its application to real-world problems, DeepMind Technologies Limited has joined with the Cambridge Trust to create the DeepMind Cambridge Scholarship.

The objective of the scholarship programme is to help under-represented students wishing to study machine learning and computer science at the University of Cambridge.

DeepMind has generously made a donation to the Trust to fund the tuition fees and maintenance stipend for up to four students taking the MPhil degree in Advanced Computer Science in the academic year 2019-20.

DeepMind was founded in London in 2010 and also has offices in France, Canada and the USA.  Its Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, Dr Demis Hassabis, is an alumnus of Queens' College.  The company was acquired by Google in 2014.
