Miranda Williamson

Deputy Director (Partnerships and Communications)

Miranda Williamson has a background in international education and cultural relations. She is driven by a vision of an equitable, peaceful world in which all young people have freedom and opportunities to flourish.

Miranda worked for a decade at the British Council in a range of senior leadership roles across external relations, policy and programmes. This included three years leading the organisation’s work on youth, governance and social enterprise in 17 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. She managed the British Council’s government relations during the EU referendum and led an organisation-wide response to an external strategic review.

She joined the Cambridge Trust in 2024 from The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, where she advanced the Foundation’s programmes strategy during a time of rapid change and developed major UK social impact initiatives.

She has volunteered with education organisations in the UK and internationally, applying her expertise to enable them to strengthen and grow their products, services and networks.

Partnership has been central to all Miranda’s work; she has extensive experience of building strategic coalitions between diverse actors and of catalysing collaboration to deliver tangible outcomes for young people.
