Pavlo studied for an MPhil in European Literature and Culture at Cambridge, where he graduated with a distinction. He found the course rewarding and intellectually exciting.
Pavlo was impressed by the quality of the course and the level of discussion at seminars. Classes led to fruitful debates which gave a lot of food for thought. He had the opportunity to do research on the works of English, French, German, Russian, and Ukrainian literature. The work on his thesis proved to be rewarding and helpful for his future PhD project
Pavlo says that the Cambridge-Ukraine Studentship allowed him to make progress as a prospective scholar and has enriched his expertise. He comments, “the academic environment at Cambridge has inspired me to do creative work in the field of literary criticism. I attended seminars and lectures and they broadened my horizons and enabled me to do exciting research projects for my essays and thesis”. He added, “During my time in Cambridge I made a lot of friends from around the world, and experienced the cultural and intellectual diversity of Cambridge through communication with the academic community. I express my gratitude to the Cambridge Overseas Trust for this incredible experience”.
Pavlo is now back in Ukraine and is currently working as a lecturer of English at Taras Shevchenko National University of Luhansk.
