Supporting scholarships
If you are interested in supporting students at the University of Cambridge, we would be happy to discuss ways in which the Trust can work with you to ensure effective and efficient use of your funds.
The Trust was formed in 2013 from the merger of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and Cambridge Overseas Trust, which were founded in the 1980s by the University of Cambridge and which helped more than 15,000 students to enjoy the benefits of study at one of the finest universities in the world. We continue to work to make a Cambridge education accessible to outstanding students from any country, irrespective of social and economic background.
The Trust receives substantial annual funding from the University, from Trinity College, from Cambridge Assessment, and from many of the University’s Colleges and Departments. We also work with a wide range of external funding partners:
- government departments and agencies
- major educational establishments
- charities
- corporations
- individual donors
There are many ways in which funds can be used to assist with the provision of scholarships. We work closely with the University’s Development & Alumni Relations Office to ensure an inclusive and thorough response to potential donors.
Our FAQs for donors aim to answer some of the queries you may have regarding donations and support, but please contact the Trust's Partnerships Manager, Tendai Kariwo, for further information and discussion.
