Cambridge
Cambridge Australia Scholarships
Cambridge Australia Scholarships is a not-for-profit organization that provides scholarships for outstanding Australian graduates to undertake Masters and PhD degrees at the University of Cambridge.
Since its establishment in the 1980s (as the Cambridge Australia Trust), over 350 scholarships have been awarded, under a variety of schemes, many of them named after donors or eminent Australian alumni. CAS relies on the generosity of its donors, and all its scholarships are funded by private philanthropic gifts. Further information about its donors can be found here.
In recognition of its generosity in funding Australian students at Cambridge, in 2011 CAS was inducted into the University's Guild of Benefactors.
CAS is keen to keep in contact with its alumni, to find out about their work and lives after leaving Cambridge, and to maintain an active community of Cambridge alumni in Australia. If you are a former CAS scholar, and have not yet joined their online database, please visit the relevant CAS web page to register.
The Cambridge Australia Scholarships are funded jointly by CAS and the Cambridge Trust, and are available to Australian applicants at Masters and PhD level.

Cambridge Thai Foundation
The main function of the Cambridge Thai Foundation is to enable Thai students to further their education at the University of Cambridge.
The Foundation works with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Cambridge Thai Foundation Scholarship.

Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre
The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre is a dynamic collaboration of academic researchers, clinicians, and the pharmaceutical and biotech industries based in the Cambridge area. It combines world-class science and technology with excellent patient care to pioneer new ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer. By working together across different disciplines, it is breaking down the barriers between the laboratory and the clinic, enabling patients to benefit from the latest innovations in cancer science.
More than 700 laboratory researchers and physicians are united through a 12 programme structure that brings together investigators working on: Aerodigestive, Breast, Haematological, Brain, Ovarian, Paediatric, Pancreatic and Urological cancers. An additional four programmes focus on: ‘Advanced Cancer Imaging’ to promote Cancer Research UK's world-leading expertise in laboratory and clinical imaging research; ‘Cell and Molecular Biology’, to engage its colleagues working in all aspects of biology relevant to cancer; ‘Early Detection’ to support this special area of research emphasis in the CRUK Major Centre; and ‘Onco-Innovation’ to provide a collaboration point for its colleagues in the pharmaceutical industry (e.g. AstraZeneca, Medimmune) as well as members from University departments in the physical sciences.
In 2018, the CRUK Cambridge Centre launched an innovative new MRes + PhD programme specifically designed to produce future generations of cancer leaders, trained in early detection and integrative cancer medicine.
The Centre has partnered with the Cambridge Trust to offer one scholarship each year.

Christ’s College
Christ's College was first established as God's House in 1437 by William Byngham, a London parish priest, for training grammar school masters. With the patronage of Lady Margaret Beaufort it was refounded as Christ's College in 1505, with a royal charter from King Henry VII.
Its illustrious roll call of alumni includes John Milton, Charles Darwin, Rowan Williams and Simon Schama.
The College works with the Cambridge Trust and the Sir Ernest Cassel Educational Trust to offer the Mountbatten Cambridge International Scholarship, which is available to PhD applicants from Commonwealth countries.

Churchill College
Churchill College received its Royal Charter in 1960, and is the national and Commonwealth memorial to Sir Winston Churchill. It is the embodiment of his vision of how higher education can benefit society in the modern age.
Like other Cambridge colleges, it is committed to outstanding academic achievement; more than twenty of its members have won the Nobel Prize. While it focuses especially on science, engineering and technology, its teaching and research also reflect the intense interest in the arts and humanities of Sir Winston himself, whose own Nobel Prize was for literature. And it builds bridges between academia and business and the professions.
Churchill College works with the Cambridge Trust to offer several research studentships:

Darwin College
Darwin College is a postgraduate college with an international community in which graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, senior visitors and college fellows can interact with colleagues having the broadest spectrum of research interests.
The College was founded in 1964 and takes its name from the family of Charles Darwin, who owned the buildings that now form the core of the college.
The College contributes to the funding of international students by granting Cambridge Trust scholars a partial remission of their fees.

Department of Oncology
The Department of Oncology is an academic department within the School of Clinical Medicine at the University of Cambridge. The mission of the Department of Oncology is to reduce the morbidity and mortality of patients with cancer through research, treatment and education.
Research within the department focuses on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancers and can be divided into three broad disciplines: Basic Laboratory, Translational and Clinical Research, spanning a range of disciplines including molecular biology, genetics, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computational biology, clinical medicine and surgery.
The Department of Oncology has partnered with the Cambridge Trust on the establishment of a new scholarship programme starting in academic year 2019-20. The programme will run initially for five years and will fund up to two Wellcome Trust Oncology PhD Studentships each year. Each studentship will be awarded for four years to support an MRes followed by a PhD.

Emmanuel College
Emmanuel College is set in beautiful grounds in the heart of Cambridge. Once inside the gates of the College, it is hard to believe that the busy city centre is such a short distance away.
The College was founded in 1584 by Sir Walter Mildmay, who for many years was Chancellor of the Exchequer to Queen Elizabeth I. Its buildings range from medieval to late 20th century. The gardens have extensive lawns, magnificent and rare trees, and ponds that are home to large numbers of ducks and fish.
Although founded originally for the education and training of Protestant preachers, it has grown into one of the larger colleges in Cambridge, consisting of a community of more than 600 people. It accepts students at all levels of degree study, and in almost all fields of study offered by the University.
Emmanuel College makes a generous annual donation to the Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust to support a range of scholarships for international students.

Friends of Cambridge University in Hong Kong
The Friends of Cambridge University in Hong Kong Limited is a charitable organization registered in Hong Kong whose principal activities are to provide for the advancement and promotion of learning and education at the University of Cambridge. The primary activity of The Friends is to manage the Prince Philip Scholarship, established in 1981.
The Prince Philip Scholarship provides financial support to talented Hong Kong students to study at the University of Cambridge, many of whom would otherwise not have the opportunity or financial means to do so.

Hughes Hall
A progressive and innovative College, Hughes Hall is committed to life-long access and academic excellence. Whether your interests are cutting edge research or professional and business education, Hughes Hall's richly diverse community sustains an ongoing intellectual and caring environment.
The College works with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Hughes Hall Cambridge PhD Scholarship to PhD applicants in any academic subject. Up to 2 full scholarships may be awarded each year.

Institute of Astronomy
The Institute of Astronomy is a department of the University of Cambridge and is engaged in teaching and research in the fields of theoretical and observational Astronomy. A wide class of theoretical problems are studied, ranging from models of quasars and of the evolution of the universe, through theories of the formation and evolution of galaxies and stars, X-ray sources and black holes.
The Institute works with the Boustany Foundation, the Cambridge Trust, and Pembroke College on the Boustany Scholarship for Astronomy, which is awarded to a PhD applicant in Astronomy once in every three years.

Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund
The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Trust was established in 1966 by The Earl Mountbatten of Burma as a memorial to his great friend the late Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. The Trust worked towards the furtherance of education by two means - the institution of an annual public lecture known as the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Lecture, and the award of scholarships to outstanding students of Indian citizenship who specialise in science, technology or the humanities.
In 2016 part of the endowment of the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Trust was incorporated into that of the Cambridge Trust, which now manages the Fund and is responsible for awarding the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Cambridge Scholarships.

Jesus College
Jesus College was founded in 1496, and originally consisted of buildings taken over from the nunnery of St Mary and St Radegund. This set of buildings remains the core of the college to this day, and this accounts for its distinctly peaceful and spacious character, which sets it apart from other Cambridge colleges.
The College offers several scholarships and studentships for postgraduates, and works with the Cambridge Trust to offer the following awards:
- Kenneth Sutherland Memorial Scholarship, for PhD applicants from Canada (not awarded every year)
- Cambridge Schröder Scholarship in German Studies, for PhD applicants of any nationality (in conjunction with the University's Department of German and Dutch) (not awarded every year)

Keith Sykes
Thanks to the generosity of Pembroke College alumnus Keith Sykes, the Trust is delighted to offer the Keith Sykes Cambridge Italian PhD Scholarship.
A life-long lover of Italy, Keith, who lives part of the year in Como, also generously funds other studentships at Selwyn College and St Catharine’s College, as well as funding a studentship in Medieval Italian Literature and a research fellowship in Italian Studies at Pembroke College.
Two fully-funded scholarships will be offered for the academic year 2019-20. The objective of the scholarship is to give financial support to students who are citizens of the United Kingdom or the European Union and who are working towards PhD degrees on research topics at the Italian Section of the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages at the University of Cambridge. The scholarships will fully fund tuition fees at the Home-EU rate and a maintenance stipend.

Lucy Cavendish College
Founded in 1965, Lucy Cavendish College's purpose has always been to provide opportunities for under-represented groups to study at Cambridge. Having previously been a College for mature women, from October 2021 students of all genders aged 18 and above, will be able to study there. For academically outstanding students seeking an unrivalled education and a community that reflects modern society, Lucy Cavendish offers a unique environment in the heart of the historic University that all can truly call home.

Magdalene College
There has been a continuous tradition of academic study on the site of Magdalene College for more than 550 years. The College has its origins in the year 1428 when Henry VI approved the establishment of a hostel on the site for Benedictine monks coming from their abbey monasteries in the Fenland to study Canon Law at the University.
Magdalene is a lively, innovative College with a long tradition of community, scholarship and achievement. Its students come from all over the world, and from many different educational backgrounds. The diverse society of the College, which mixes students from varied ethnic, social and religious backgrounds, is a challenging and invigorating environment in which students are able to develop academically, personally and socially.
The College works with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Mandela Magdalene College Scholarship, for South African students taking Masters courses, and the Clutton-Brock Cambridge Scholarship, for Zimbabwean students on Masters or PhD courses in subjects relevant to the needs of Zimbabwe.

MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology
The primary goal of the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology is to understand biological processes at the molecular level, with the ultimate aim of using this knowledge to tackle specific problems in human health and disease.
The LMB is one of the birthplaces of modern molecular biology. Many techniques were pioneered at the laboratory, most notably the sequencing of DNA. Over the years, the work of LMB scientists has attracted 11 Nobel prizes shared amongst 16 LMB scientists, as well as numerous other prizes and scientific awards.
The LMB works with the Cambridge Trust to offer the LMB Cambridge Scholarship, which is available to PhD applicants to the Laboratory. See the LMB website for further information about the PhD programme and how to apply.

NIH Ox/Cam Programme
The NIH Ox/Cam Programme, based in the University's School of Clinical Medicine, is a partnership between the USA's National Institutes of Health and the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
It supports research medical students who are undertaking simultaneously a PhD in the UK and an MD in the USA . This unique programme has fostered strong research collaborations between the NIH and Cambridge.
The NIH Ox/Cam Programme in Cambridge is working with the Cambridge Trust to offer the NIH Cambridge Trust Scholarship, to fund PhD candidates in Biomedical Research whose studies will be divided between Cambridge and the NIH in the USA.

Oxford & Cambridge Club of Nigeria
The Oxford and Cambridge Club of Nigeria is a non-profit association of the alumni of the universities of Oxford and Cambridge who are either Nigerian or living in Nigeria. The Club was established over 35 years ago by a group of prominent Nigerians who wished to create a forum to encourage social, economic and intellectual debate in Nigeria.
The Club continues to build a reputation for intellectual thought leadership, attracting leaders from the business, diplomatic and academic cadres to its events, as well as holding an annual series of social events.
From 2018-19 the Club is working with the Cambridge Trust to offer a scholarship for a Nigerian students taking a Masters degree in Cambridge.

Oxford & Cambridge Society of Kenya
The Oxford & Cambridge Society of Kenya was founded in the 1920s, and since then has represented alumni of both universities in Kenya. It has about 200 members, and has long supported Kenyan students on courses in Oxford and Cambridge.
The Society works with the Cambridge Trust and Wolfson College to offer the Wolfson OCS Kenya Scholarship, available to Masters applicants in any subject.

The Oxford and Cambridge Society of Toronto exists to organize events at which Canadian graduates can meet and enjoy each others' company, sharing topics of mutual interest, wonderful conversation and memories of their student years.
The Society works with the Cambridge Trust to offer Masters scholarships at the University of Cambridge, in any subject. The scholarships are not awarded every year.

Pembroke College
Pembroke College was founded 1347 and is the third oldest of the Cambridge colleges. Despite being located in the middle of the city, Pembroke presents a tranquil environment with varied architectural styles framing open courts and beautiful gardens. The College has approximately 70 Fellows, 430 undergraduates and 190 graduate students. They form an intimate yet diverse community, committed to welcoming students of exceptional talent regardless of their social, cultural or educational background.
The College works with the Trust, the Boustany Foundation and the Institute of Astronomy to offer the Boustany Scholarship in Astronomy, which is awarded to a PhD applicant in Astronomy once in every three years, and with the Trust and the Boustany Foundation to offer the Boustany Cambridge Pembroke Scholarship in Philosophy, which is also awarded once every three years.

Queens’ College
For over 550 years, the history of Queens' College has been rich, complex and varied, much like the thriving academic community it supports.
Today the College is one of the most modern, welcoming and comfortable colleges in Cambridge, without having lost any of its historical charm, beauty or tradition. The College is committed to academic excellence and diversity.
Queens' College works with the Cambridge Trust to offer two scholarships:
- Queen's College John Lawrence Scholarship, available to PhD applicants in any subject from Africa, Latin America or Asia;
- Queens' College Stephen Thomas Studentship, available to PhD applicants in Engineering or Computer Science.

Schlumberger Gould Research Centre
The Schlumberger Gould Research facility is a distinctive marquee-like structure dominating the High Cross site on the western outskirts of Cambridge. The building houses more than 930 m2 of laboratory space and offices for more than 100 scientists and technicians.
Research focuses on drilling, chemistry, fluid mechanics, and seismics. In each domain, SGR combines three strands of research: theory, experiment, and computational simulation. Research teams are multidisciplinary, embracing physics, chemistry, materials science, mathematics, statistics, earth sciences, solid and fluid mechanics, computer science, and instrumentation.

Selwyn College
Selwyn College, which opened in 1882, is home to around 360 undergraduates, 130 graduates, and 60 Fellows. The College forms an academic community committed to excellence in teaching, learning and research.
The graduate community is notable for its diversity and cosmopolitan atmosphere, with more than one third of its students coming from outside the UK.
The College, and its Hamilton Fund, work with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Hamilton Cambridge International Scholarship, available to PhD applicants in any subject. The scholarship is not awarded every year, and will next be available for students starting their research in 2020-21.

Smuts Memorial Fund
The Smuts Memorial Fund was established after the death of Jan Christiaan Smuts, who was Prime Minister of South Africa from 1919 to 1924 and again from 1939 to 1948, and Chancellor of the University of Cambridge from 1948 to 1950. Its aim is to further the advancement of Commonwealth Studies in the University.
The Fund supports several posts and grants within the University, including the Smuts Cambridge Scholarship in association with the Cambridge Trust; the scholarship is available to PhD students whose research relates to a Commonwealth country or countries (excluding the UK), normally in the fields of Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences.

St Edmund’s College
St Edmund's College is a graduate college with about 50 Fellows and 350 student members, including some mature students studying as undergraduates. It is committed to the support of its members, who are working across all academic disciplines studying for degrees of the University of Cambridge and/or carrying out research. A relaxed and cordial atmosphere is encouraged, in which students and Fellows mix freely. The College is noted for the strength of its international community: about two-thirds of the students are from some 60 countries, and one-third are UK residents.
The College works with the Cambridge Trust to offer a number of scholarships for PhD students: Luzio Vice-Chancellor's Award (awarded each year), and Duke of Edinburgh and Charter Vice-Chancellor's Award or Cambridge International Scholarship (awarded every three years). The two organisations are also joined by donor Mr Gopal Chand Anand to offer the Peter Kishor Chand Anand Cambridge Scholarship, for Indian students taking a Masters degree at the College.

Trinity College
Trinity College was founded by Henry VIII in 1546 as part of the University of Cambridge. Since then Trinity has flourished and grown, and is now home to around 600 undergraduates, 300 graduates, and over 160 Fellows. Trinity exists to give its members a rewarding, richly resourced, and intellectually inspiring place in which to pursue their education and research.
The College is generous in its support of many individuals and institutions in Cambridge, and offers a large number of bursaries and scholarships for both undergraduates and graduates.
It makes substantial annual donations to the Cambridge Trust, and to other institutions in Cambridge that support international students.

It is regularly listed at or near the top of global university rankings, earning that accolade through the quality of its research and teaching. It is a self-governed community of scholars, and comprises 31 Colleges, and over 150 departments, faculties, schools and other institutions.
The University is also one of the world's oldest universities, having celebrated its 800th anniversary in 2009. While taking pride in its illustrious history, it focuses on research capable of transforming human knowledge and society.

Wellcome Trust research projects
The Wellcome Trust aims to achieve extraordinary improvements in human and animal health, by supporting the brightest minds in biomedical research and the medical humanities, and is involved with many parts of the University of Cambridge, including several research institutes and projects.
The Cambridge Trust works with the relevant departments within the University (the School of Clinical Medicine and the School of the Biological Sciences) to offer the Wellcome Cambridge Trust Scholarships, for international PhD students whose research programmes are supported by the Wellcome Trust.

Williams Papworth Studentship
The Williams Papworth Studentship provides full or partial support for students from the Tibetan Plateau or surrounding countries or regions or those who have an interest and commitment to study and development within the Himalayan region. The studentship is normally available for one-year postgraduate courses. Consideration will be given only in exceptional circumstances to those seeking support for PhDs or who have spent extended periods of time studying in universities in Western Europe, USA, Canada or Australia. The Studentship seeks to support students committed to the practical application of knowledge or the development of ideas. The potential of the applicant to make a significant, positive and forward-looking contribution to the Himalayan region and the wider world is overall more important than the subject of study.
Past students have studied Business, Conservation Leadership, Criminology, Education, Linguistics and Veterinary Science. Applications from those wishing to study other academic disciplines are also welcome to apply although preference will not normally be given to those wishing to study Social Anthropology.
The Williams Papworth Studentship was founded by Bill and Hilary Papworth and since 2014-15 has been administered by the Cambridge Trust.

Wolfson College
Wolfson College is known as the most cosmopolitan college in Cambridge, with postgraduate students and mature undergraduate students from all over the world. In addition to a large number of senior academics and post-doctoral researchers, the college regularly invites visiting academics from abroad, further enhancing its international reputation.
The College works with the Cambridge Trust and the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Kenya to offer the Wolfson OCS Kenya Scholarship, available to Kenyan Masters applicants in any subject.

Woolf Institute
The Woolf Institute is a global leader in the study of current and historical relationships between the faith-traditions of Judaism, Islam and Christianity, with special reference to Europe and the Middle East.
The Institute was established in Cambridge in 1998, and is recognized worldwide for the excellence of its research, study and outreach programmes. Over 2000 students have successfully taken the pioneering residential and e-learning courses offered by the Institute's Centres for the Study of Jewish-Christian Relations, Muslim-Jewish Relations and Public Education.
The Institute and the Cambridge Trust work together to offer the Woolf Institute Cambridge Scholarship, available to PhD applicants in subjects relevant to the work of the Institute, and to Masters applicants to the MPhil in Middle Eastern Studies: Muslim-Jewish Relations.

Governments and State Agencies
ANID Chile
ANID is the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research in Chile. Formerly known as CONICYT, It was founded in 1967, when its main role was to advise the President of Chile on scientific matters. Its work has grown to include provision of scholarships (in all subjects), funding research and development projects, and systematising scientific information. It currently focuses its efforts on the training of advanced human capital, on developing and strengthening Chile’s scientific and technological base, addressing regional development, and promoting international liaison.
For some years ANID has provided a very large range of scholarships to Chilean students for study abroad, under the BECAS Chile programme. Since 2013 it has worked with the Cambridge Trust to offer the CONICYT-Chile Cambridge Scholarship (now the ANID-Chile Cambridge Scholarship), available to PhD applicants.

China Scholarship Council
The China Scholarship Council is a non-profit institution affiliated with the Ministry of Education. Its objective is to provide financial assistance to Chinese citizens wishing to study abroad and to foreign citizens wishing to study in China.
It aims to develop educational, scientific, technological, and cultural exchanges, and economic and trade cooperation between China and other countries, to strengthen the friendship and understanding between Chinese people and the people of all other countries, and to promote world peace and the socialist modernization drive in China.
The China Scholarship Council works with the Cambridge Trust to offer both the CSC Cambridge Scholarship (for PhD applicants), and the CSC Cambridge Masters Scholarship. Both awards can be made in a range of academic subjects.

Commonwealth Scholarship Commission
The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom (CSC) is responsible for managing Britain’s contribution to the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan.
The Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan is an international programme under which member governments offer scholarships and fellowships to citizens of other Commonwealth countries. The Plan was established at the first Commonwealth education conference in 1959 and is reviewed by education ministers at their triennial meetings – the only scholarship scheme in the world to receive such high-level recognition.
The CSC supports around 750 awards annually. Awards are funded by the Department for International Development (for developing Commonwealth countries), and the Department for Education (for developed Commonwealth countries), in conjunction with UK universities. The CSC also nominates UK citizens for scholarships to study in other Commonwealth countries under the CSFP.

Foreign & Commonwealth Office / Chevening
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office is the UK government department responsible for promoting British interests overseas, and supporting British citizens and businesses around the globe.
Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the FCO and partner organisations. The scholarships are awarded to outstanding students with leadership potential, to take one-year Masters courses at UK universities. There are around 46,000 Chevening Alumni around the world who together comprise an influential and highly-regarded global network.

HMG GREAT Campaign
In partnership with the British Council and the Study UK campaign, the Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust is offering scholarships to students from India, Indonesia, Pakistan and Kenya applying for postgraduate courses in any subject.
The Study UK campaign is offering 161 scholarships from 42 UK universities to students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand to access world-class UK higher education opportunities.
A GREAT scholarship offers a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at one of the 42 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
The University of Engineering and Applied Sciences, located across four campuses in the valley of Swat, aspires to be a world-class institution of learning and research. Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission
The Marshall Commission is responsible for the Marshall Scholarship Programme, named in honour of George C Marshall, US Secretary of State (1950-51). It was founded by an Act of Parliament in 1953 and is principally funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Marshall Scholarships provide two years’ funding to finance up to 50 US scholars each year to study for graduate degrees in the UK in any subject.
The Cambridge Marshall PhD Scholarship at the University of Cambridge is available to applicants for any PhD course to fund the third year of a three-year course. The scholarship is tenable at any College within the University, and in any subject, from academic year 2019-20, and up to two scholarships may be offered in each academic year.

Minciencias, Colombia
Minciencias is the Colombian Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation, a government agency that supports fundamental and applied research in Colombia.
Since 2014 Minciencias has worked with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Minciencias Cambridge Scholarship, available to Colombian PhD candidates in a range of academic subjects.

Ministry of Education, Taiwan
The Ministry of Education in Taiwan recognises that the cultivation of human talent is a high priority for all educators and scholars. It works to enhance the quality of education in Taiwan, and has implemented many educational reforms.
Since 2011, the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Cambridge Trust have collaborated to offer the Taiwan Cambridge Scholarship programme. This programme marked the first formal agreement between Taiwan and the University of Cambridge. The scholarship programme provides full funding to PhD students each year, in any academic discipline and at any College within Cambridge.
In order to facilitate the smooth running of the programme, the Cambridge Trust works closely with the Education Division at the Taipei Representative Office in the UK (in London).

Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Arab Republic of Egypt
The Ministry of Higher Education is one of the governmental bodies of Egypt, based in Cairo. Its major function is to develop, implement and monitor all the country's policies relating to Higher Education; it is responsible for the educational activities of Egyptian universities, both public and private.
The Ministry, represented by the Egyptian Bureau for Cultural and Educational Affairs in London, is working with the Cambridge Trust to offer the MOHE Egypt Cambridge Scholarships, for PhD students in any subject.

Science & Engineering Research Board, India
The Science & Engineering Research Board in India was established in 2008 by an Act of Parliament, with the objective of supporting basic research in emerging areas of Science and Engineering. It provides financial assistance to academics engaged in research, academic institutions, laboratories, and industry, and aims to build up best practices in the promotion and funding of basic research.
Since 2015 the Board and the Cambridge Trust have offered a programme of jointly-funded PhD scholarships for Indian students in STEM areas; the scholarships are called the Cambridge India Ramanujan Scholarships. The awards are named after Srinivasa Ramanujan, a mathematical genius who was largely self-taught but who spent five years in Cambridge working with the leading mathematicians of the day.

Aker Scholarship
The Aker Scholarship was established in 2015 by the 'Anne Grete Eidsvig and Kjell Inge Røkke Charitable Foundation for Education’ in cooperation with Aker ASA.
The programme supports Norwegian top students so that they can learn from the best in the world, independent of their family or financial situation. Scholarships are awarded to students in all fields of study.
Its aim is to give talented and ambitious young Norwegian students the opportunity to gain knowledge, inspiration and experience by taking postgraduate degrees at the world's leading universities. Since last year it has offered scholarships at universities in the UK (Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College), the USA (Caltech, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Penn) and Singapore (National University of Singapore).
The first students on this new programme arrived in Cambridge in October 2016.

AlThuraya Foundation, a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organization based in Edinburgh, seeks to provide benefit by focusing on the provision of funding and mentoring of young scholars, promoting the advancement of education. The Amjad & Suha Bseisu Foundation (‘Bseisu’) is a registered charity founded in 2011, which focuses on transforming the lives of people from the Middle East. Its vision is to help build a world based on civil society, uniform rights and equal opportunity. The Foundation has a growing focus on enabling exceptionally talented people from the Middle East to access world-class education.
The Bseisu-University of Cambridge Scholarship is jointly funded by the Amjad & Suha Bseisu Foundation and the Cambridge Trust to support postgraduate students from Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and Syria, wishing to study at the University of Cambridge.
The scholarship funds the tuition fee for postgraduate students commencing studies at the University, as well as an annual stipend and it is tenable at any College within the University of Cambridge.

Becas Magdalena O.Vda.de Brockmann
The Becas Magdalena O.Vda de Brockmann was founded in 1992 by Guillermo Brockmann, in honour of his late mother. It enables talented young Mexicans to obtain high-quality postgraduate education abroad.
The Foundation works with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Brockmann Cambridge Scholarship, which is available to Master's applicants from Mexico in any subject.

Blyth Scholars
The Blyth Scholarship programme is funded by Sam Blyth and Blyth Education. Sam Blyth was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge and The University of Paris and is Chair of Blyth Education in Toronto. The company is the leading provider in Canada of international high school programmes.
Blyth Scholars works with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Blyth Cambridge Trust Scholarship, available to applicants for undergraduate degrees in all subjects except Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.
In 2014 Sam Blyth was invited to join the University of Cambridge's Vice-Chancellor's Circle, in recognition of Blyth Scholars' generous support of Canadian undergraduate students in Cambridge.

Boustany Foundation
The Boustany Foundation was established with dual objectives: firstly, to help in the educational, sportive, cultural and artistic development of deserving individuals; and secondly, to ensure the moral and physical protection of abandoned children or children in need.
The Foundation joins with the Institute of Astronomy, the Cambridge Trust, and Pembroke College to offer the Boustany Scholarship in Astronomy, which is awarded to a PhD applicant in Astronomy once in every three years, and with the Cambridge Trust and Pembroke College to offer the Boustany Cambridge Pembroke Scholarship in Philosophy, also available once in every three years.

BP is committed to a wide-ranging social investment programme focused on education, training and skills development. For nearly a decade BP Egypt has worked with the Cambridge Trust to offer the BP Cambridge Scholarship for Egypt, which is available to Egyptian applicants to Masters degrees in subjects relevant to the work of BP in Egypt.

Canadian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies
The Canadian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies provides scholarships for Law students at the University of Cambridge, and also provides senior lawyers and judges with an opportunity to attend lectures and to engage in discussions beyond the scope of their daily work.
In 2017 the Institute was invited to join the University of Cambridge's Vice-Chancellor's Circle, in recognition of its generous support of Canadian students .
CIALS works with the Cambridge Trust to offer The Right Honourable Paul Martin Sr Scholarship at Cambridge University, named after the founder of the Institute, who studied at the University of Cambridge, and later returned to England as Canada's High Commissioner to the UK. The scholarship is available to Canadian applicants for the LLM.

Carlos Rodriguez-Pastor & Gabriela Perez Rocchietti
Carlos Rodriguez-Pastor and his wife Gabriela Perez Rocchietti are passionate supporters of education. Mr Rodriguez-Pastor is the co-founder and chairman of Innova Schools, founder of Peru Champs and a member of the global advisory board of Khan Academy. He is also a member of the board of trustees of Dartmouth College and a member of the global advisory council at Harvard University.
Mr Rodriguez-Pastor is Chief Executive Officer of Intercorp, a banking and retail group based in Peru. He is the founder of Nexus Group, a private equity firm with investments in schools, universities and other interests.
Their generous support will, together with the Cambridge Trust, fund the ‘Carlos Rodriguez-Pastor and Gabriela Perez Rocchietti Scholarship at Cambridge’ which will help students in financial need from Latin America to study for an undergraduate degree in any subject at the University of Cambridge. Each scholarship will be designed to cover the total tuition and subsistence costs of the student over the period of the chosen undergraduate course.

Charlie Perkins Scholarship Trust
The Charlie Perkins Scholarship Trust was founded in memory of the late Dr Charlie Perkins AO, who was the first Australian indigenous man to graduate from university. A passionate and talented football player (he came to the UK in 1957 to play for Everton FC), his sports success helped to finance him through university.
He was instrumental in establishing the Foundation for Aboriginal Affairs in Sydney in the early 1960s, and throughout his life campaigned at all levels - community, regional and national - for justice for Indigenous Australians. He was known as an effective activist and fearless spokesman. His State Funeral in Sydney in 2000 was attended by thousands of people, and broadcast on national television.
The Trust co-funds, with Cambridge Australia Scholarships and the Cambridge Trust, the Charlie Perkins Cambridge Scholarship, which is available to Australian students of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who apply to take a Master's or PhD degree in any subject.

The Club Financiero Español is a charity founded by a group of Spanish and British professionals working in London.
Its objectives are to

Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation
The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation is a UK charity established in 1988 with a generous benefaction from Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd. Its purpose is to support closer links between Britain and Japan via the award of grants and scholarships and the organisation of events to increase the understanding of Japan in the UK. The Foundation offers a wide programme of lectures, seminars, book launches, courses and exhibitions and provides meeting rooms for Japan-related activities and facilities for visiting academics.
The Foundation partners with the Cambridge Trust to provide the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Cambridge Scholarship. The scholarship funds the tuition fee for any one-year Master’s course available at the University, up to a cap of £35,000, as well as a stipend. It is tenable at any College within the University of Cambridge. Applicants must be citizens of Japan.

DNV GL
Amy Li Cambridge Scholarship
This scholarship has been established in memory of Amy Li and is jointly funded by her former employer DNV GL, a leading organization in the maritime, oil and gas, and energy industries, and the Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust.
Amy was born in China and won a place to study Chemical Engineering at Emmanuel College. After graduating in 2010 she took up a post as an oil and gas safety engineer in Aberdeen with DNV GL. She died in 2013, but her colleagues at DNV GL decided to remember her by establishing a scholarship that would enable international students to follow in her footsteps at Cambridge, and develop their own keen thirst for excellence in their chosen field..
The scholarships will be awarded to undergraduates from any country outside the EU studying Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

Dr Donald Pinchin
The William & Margaret Brown Scholarship was given by the late Dr Donald Pinchin in memory of a wonderful couple from South London who never had the opportunity to attend a university but who welcomed a Canadian great-nephew into their home while he studied for a PhD at the Cavendish Lab between 1973 and 1977.
Dr Pinchin was founder and President of Pinchin Environmental in Ontario and Manitoba, Canada. He worked with the Cambridge Trust to offer the William and Margaret Brown Cambridge Scholarship, available to Canadian PhD applicants in the fields of Engineering, Natural Sciences or Physical Sciences.

Eurofins Foundation
The Eurofins Foundation was established in 2019 and its objectives have been proposed based on the existing commitments of the global Eurofins’ community: contributing to global health and safety and protecting the environment. The Foundation is committed to supporting students who study or carry out research in fields aiming at contributing to safer and healthier lives but who lack sufficient financial resources.
A generous donation to the Trust enabled the creation of the Eurofins Bursary and Student Hardship Fund to provide much-needed funding for students who need to extend their studies for 3-6 months in order to complete their dissertation or thesis, addressing a pressing need brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic and helping students who would otherwise lack sufficient financial resources to complete their studies successfully. The Fund also provides travel bursaries to allow Master’s and PhD students to conduct essential research away from Cambridge, and particularly seeks to support students undertaking research in the fields of cancer and crop science, in line with the Foundation’s objectives of improving health and nutrition.

George and Marie Vergottis Foundation
The George and Marie Vergottis Foundation was founded in 1976 by Marie Vergottis in memory of her beloved late husband George. George and Marie were generous philanthropists throughout their lifetimes. The objectives of the Foundation are:
- the study and promotion of issues related to Kefalonian and/or more broadly to Ionian History, Archaeology, Folklore, Art, Economy, Environment, Geology, Seismology, Medicine and Shipping, at the Vergottis Cultural Center in Kourkoumelata, Kefalonia;
- financial assistance to distinguished students from Kefalonia;
- financial support to charitable organisations of Kefalonia, and other activities of social benefit.
The George and Marie Vergottis Foundation’s partnership with the University of Cambridge aims to provide financial assistance to students of Greek citizenship in order that they may follow degree courses at any level. The Cambridge Trust delivers the postgraduate scholarship programme on behalf of the University; the undergraduate scholarship programme is managed by the Cambridge Bursary Scheme.

Gordon Edge Science and Technology Fund
Gordon Edge was a leading figure in the Cambridge technology sector and instrumental in the economic growth of the region, until his death in 2013.
Gordon was born in Lancashire and became the first person in his family to go on to higher education, before founding companies such as PA Technology and Sagentia (originally known as Scientific Generics).
Gordon’s family and friends decided that establishing a fund to help disadvantaged students from North West England and North Wales study for an undergraduate degree in science or technology at the University of Cambridge is the best possible memorial to Gordon’s life and work. It is directed at students taking A-levels in science subjects, and is the University’s first endowed fund to support students from the North West of England.
Mrs Nikki Edge has made a generous gift to establish the fund in honour of her late husband, The Gordon Edge Science and Technology Fund.

Grace and Thomas C. H. Chan
In 2007 Mr and Mrs Thomas C.H. Chan gave a generous benefaction to the University of Cambridge to found a new scholarship programme, aimed at providing Cambridge with an enhanced ability to recruit outstanding graduate students from China.
On giving this generous gift to Cambridge, Thomas Chan said ‘I am delighted that these scholarships will contribute to the perpetual growth of the knowledge based in the socio-political sciences for the betterment of Greater China and all of humanity’.
Mr and Mrs Chan offer, in collaboration with the Cambridge Trust, the Grace and Thomas C.H. Chan Scholarship, available to PhD applicants in the fields of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (‘HEC’) is an independent, autonomous, and constitutionally established institution of primary funding, overseeing, regulating, and accrediting of higher education in Pakistan. HEC connects exceptional students from Pakistan with the best research universities in the world through its international scholarship programme.
HEC and the Cambridge Trust established the Pakistan HEC Cambridge Scholarships to support outstanding Pakistani students to undertake a PhD degree at the University of Cambridge.

Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation
The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation was established by Mr Indoo Shivdasani in 1976, in order to incorporate the existing philanthropic work of the founder and to provide a permanent independent body for the expansion of those activities.
The Foundation's main objective is to identify exceptionally talented young Indian students and support them financially, enabling them to develop their special skills and talents to the maximum. It offers a range of different scholarship programmes, including a programme for postgraduate study and research abroad; over 350 scholars have benefited from these awards.
From 2016 the Foundation is working with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Inlaks Cambridge Scholarship, available to Indian students at Masters or PhD level in a range of academic subjects.

Jameel Education Foundation
Yousef Jameel is a well-known international business leader and philanthropist. He supports a wide range of institutions and projects in the fields of education, scientific research and the arts.
The Yousef Jameel Academic Program, started in 2004, has supported almost 400 postgraduate and MBA students in the Middle East, Germany, Singapore, Turkey, Senegal, France and the UK.
He funded both the Business School and the Science & Technology Research Center at the American University in Cairo (from which he himself graduated in Economics), and made a substantial benefaction to the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford to establish the Online Centre for Islamic & Asian Art and the Centre for the Study of Eastern Art.
In Cambridge, in addition to many scholarships, he has been a major donor to the University and is a member of the Guild of Benefactors. He also supported the foundation in 2009 of the Cambridge Muslim College, a non-denominational institution for education, training and research in subjects relevant to the British Muslim community.
He founded Jameel Education Foundation in 2019 as an independent organisation that supports a wide range of institutions and projects in the fields of education, scientific research and the arts. The Jameel Education Foundation Academic Program has supported mainly postgraduate and MBA students in the Middle East, Asia, Germany, Turkey, Senegal, France and the UK.
In establishing the Jameel Education Foundation Cambridge Scholarship for PhD applicants, the objectives are to initiate and invigorate education, research and wealth creation in the Middle East, North Africa and developing countries. Particular emphasis is given to areas of Science and Technology that contribute to sustainable development, and which benefit from talented students gaining a PhD in Cambridge and returning to their home countries to make use of their knowledge and expertise.

Jardine Foundation
The Jardine Foundation is an educational trust established in 1982 to mark the 150th Anniversary of the Jardine Matheson Group.
Jardines was founded as a trading company in China in 1832, and today is a diversified business group focused principally on Asia. The Group’s interests include companies that are leaders in the fields of engineering and construction, transport services, insurance broking, property investment and development, retailing, restaurants, luxury hotels, motor vehicles and related activities, financial services, heavy equipment, mining and agribusiness.
The Jardine Foundation aims to assist young people who have the potential to become outstanding citizens with a high commitment to their communities. It awards Jardine Scholarships annually to students at all levels, to enable them to attend educational establishments, primarily selected colleges at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
The Foundation is working with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Jardine Cambridge Graduate Scholarship. This scholarship is available to Masters and PhD students from the following countries: Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam. It will be awarded to candidates in any academic subject, and will be tenable at four colleges within Cambridge - Downing College, Magdalene College, Peterhouse and Trinity College.

Jusoor
Jusoor is an NGO of Syrian expatriates supporting the country’s development and helping Syrian youth realise their potential through programmes in the fields of education, career development, and global community engagement.
The Jusoor Scholarship Program enables Syrian youth to continue academic study and attain an education that will be essential to their futures as well as to the future of Syria. Jusoor has supported students in the USA, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East through full and partial funding and university partnerships. Students pursue different degree levels and academic fields of study, and a growing number of alumni benefit from mentoring and professional development opportunities.
Jusoor and the Cambridge Trust are working together on outreach to Syrian applicants for postgraduate degrees at the University of Cambridge who may be eligible for Cambridge Trust Scholarships.

Kidu Foundation
The Kidu Foundation in Bhutan came about as a result of the overwhelming response received in the form of donations both monetary and in kind to the Kidu Fund which was set up under the aegis of the Office of the Gyalpoi Zimpon (Office for People’s Welfare and Wellbeing) to assist the victims of the natural disasters that hit the Kingdom of Bhutan in 2009.
The Kidu Foundation aspires to effectively complement government efforts to address critical issues in areas of education, the rule of law, democracy and media, sustainable economic development, and preservation of the country’s environmental and cultural heritage.
'Kidu' or wellbeing of the people is traditionally a Royal Prerogative and enshrined today in the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bhutan as a fundamental responsibility of His Majesty the King. In the history of the Bhutanese Monarchy, the Kings have reigned on the principle of service of the people. Beyond the duties of governance, Monarchs have always considered it their sacred duty to provide for the most vulnerable sections of society.
The Foundation is working with the Trust to offer the Bhutan King’s Scholarship at the University of Cambridge. This one-year scholarship is available to applicants for Masters degrees who are resident citizens of Bhutan. It will be awarded to candidates in any academic subject, although priority will be given to courses within the fields of education, law, journalism, economics, management, public policy, international relations, political science, engineering, mathematics, science, environmental studies, public health and medicine. The scholarship is tenable at any College within the University of Cambridge. Applicants should show a firm commitment to return to work in Bhutan after completion of the degree.

Masonic Charitable Foundation
The Masonic Charitable Foundation is a London-based charity whose mission is encouraging opportunity, promoting independence and improving wellbeing. Its charitable purpose is to relieve and preserve health, advance education and prevent or relieve poverty or financial hardship. It provides support to Freemasons, their families and the wider community. In the year to 31 March 2017, the Foundation spent £70.5m on charitable activities.
The Foundation makes significant financial grants to charities to help people live happy, fulfilling lives and participate actively in society. Its Community Support grants are focused on charities helping people experiencing poverty, social exclusion, disadvantage, sickness, disability and barriers to education and employment.
In recent years, the Foundation has provided over £10m to fund research into treatments for conditions such as cancer, degenerative diseases and cardiovascular problems.

The Hiroyuki Nakagawa Graduate Scholarship in Japanese Studies will provide a new source of funding for top-flight PhD applicants. It will be administered in collaboration with the Cambridge Trust and the Japanese Studies Section of the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies to cover tuition fees and maintenance for two graduate students, one starting in 2019 and one in 2022. It is tenable at any College within the University of Cambridge.

The Omid Trust is an independent and non-partisan charity based in the UK. Prathiba M Singh
Prathiba M Singh, an Indian alumna of the Faculty of Law, has donated a scholarship that will allow other Indian students to complete an LLM at the world-renowned Faculty of Law in the University of Cambridge.
Singh undertook a Master of Law degree there in 1992, and then returned to India to work in Intellectual Property. She became the managing partner of Singh & Singh Law Firm in New Delhi. She is considered one of India's leading IP litigators, has argued and handled a large number of IP cases in India, and advised several Indian and international clients. Some of her cases are considered landmark cases. She was named Best Woman IP Litigator in Asia at the Euromoney Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2012, and her firm has been hailed as Firm of the Year at the 2013 Managing IP Global Awards for IP Contentious work in India.
In 2013 Prathiba Singh was designated Senior Advocate by the Delhi High Court, the first time that an Intellectual Property practitioner has been elevated to this role. Four years on, in May 2017, Prathiba was elevated to a Judge of the Delhi High Court, becoming Justice Prathiba M Singh.
The Prathiba M Singh Cambridge Scholarship, available to Indian applicants to the LLM, enables exceptional students to follow in her academic and professional footsteps. Eligible students are those who show a strong interest in Intellectual Property Law and who intend to pursue a legal career in India.

Roberta Sykes Indigenous Education Foundation
The Roberta Sykes Indigenous Education Foundation has been supporting indigenous Australian students for over 25 years.

Royal Society Te Apārangi-Rutherford Foundation
The Royal Society Te Apārangi-Rutherford Foundation was established in 2008. It provides support for the education and development of promising excellent early career researchers, who demonstrate a passion for research, science and technology, and the potential to excel in a research environment. The Cambridge Scholarship for Italian Talent was established by Simona Paravani-Mellinghoff to encourage Italian students to apply to Cambridge.
Simona Paravani-Mellinghoff is a leading investment professional, having held a number of senior positions in prestigious organisations worldwide, and is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Cambridge. In 2022, the donor was awarded the title of Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic for her commitment to promoting inclusion and social mobility through education and financial literacy.
The Scholarship provides a contribution to the cost of study, to be spent on fees or living costs as the recipient wishes.

The Snowdon Trust is a charity that assists physically and sensory disabled people to access vocational and academic courses in the UK by awarding grants, for equipment and essential study needs. The Beacon Equity Trust
The Beacon Equity Trust provides scholarships for especially gifted school children; the vision is to provide access to local world-class schools for talented children who in the future will have the confidence and ability to become leaders in their chosen fields in their home countries. The Beacon Trust started its programme in Kenya, and has recently expanding the programme to include Tanzania and Uganda
Scholars are chosen after a rigorous selection process, and receive close mentoring throughout their scholarship. Awards are made on the strength of many factors, including academic performance, achievement in sport, music or drama, social influence and communication, and citizenship. Scholars' parents or guardians are expected to play an active part in the progress of Beacon Scholars.
Since 2015 the Trust has also co-funded, with the Cambridge Trust, an annual scholarship for an undergraduate student at the University of Cambridge, the Beacon Scholarship at Cambridge. This is awarded to an applicant for any BA degree (of up to 4 years' duration) who demonstrates leadership potential.

The Beit Trust
The Beit Trust was established in 1906 through the Will of Alfred Beit, a financier and philanthropist. Up to twenty Beit Scholarships are awarded each year, jointly funded with partner universities like Cambridge.
They are open to nationals of Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi who are also permanently resident in their countries (and to those nationals only). Applicants must have a conditional offer from Cambridge before applying to the Beit Trust, via the website: www.beittrust.org.uk
Two Beit-Cambridge Scholarships are available annually and the selection process is competitive. Applicants must have at least an Upper Second undergraduate degree (2:1), in a subject of developmental benefit to their home country. Work experience in a relevant field is strongly recommended between undergraduate and postgraduate degrees; and the Trust welcomes evidence of leadership potential in applicants’ chosen specialisations.

The Croucher Foundation is a private trust set up by the late Noel Croucher, one of the founders of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and a British businessman in Hong Kong for over 70 years. The David and Elaine Potter Foundation is a charitable family foundation established in 1999 to encourage a stronger, fairer civil society.
It supports the ideals of a rational and humane world, and seeks to achieve an impact through grants that promote reason, education, and human rights, in the hope of improving mutual understanding, reinforcing good governance, and encouraging the growth and maintenance of a robust civil society, particularly in less developed countries.
The David and Elaine Potter Foundation has been involved with the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) since a £2 million benefaction in 2008 led to the establishment of the David and Elaine Potter Lectureship in Governance and Human Rights. The Foundation and the University agreed that the Lecturer should focus particularly on Africa and serve as the Director of a new interdisciplinary Centre.

The Turkish Education Foundation UK (TEV UK) is a charitable organisation established with the aim of supporting and improving the access to education for young people from Turkey who are academically able but in need of financial assistance.

The Wolfson Foundation
The Wolfson Foundation is a charity awarding grants to support and promote excellence in the fields of science and medicine, the arts and humanities, education and health and disability.

The Toshiba International Foundation aims to contribute to enhanced international understanding of Japan by promoting cultural exchange. It offers support for symposia and seminars, for cultural programmes, and for research and students.
In 2020 the Foundation, in conjunction with the Cambridge Trust, will offer the Cambridge Toshiba Japan and the World Graduate Scholarship, for a PhD applicant to the Faculty of Asian & Middle Eastern Studies whose research aims to place Japan within the wider context of the world, either in its multilateral focus or through its disciplinary impact.

Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara
Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara is responsible for the quality of university programmes in New Zealand. It administers a range of scholarships, and represents the eight New Zealand universities in the public interest, both nationally and internationally.
Its members are the Vice-Chancellors of the universities, whose work covers many fields, such as statutory requirements, research, international policy, and IT and communications.
Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara works with the Cambridge Trust to offer the Prince of Wales Cambridge International Scholarship, available to PhD applicants in any subject.
It also manages applications for the Woolf Fisher Scholarship at Cambridge, for PhD applicants in any subject, on behalf of the Woolf Fisher Trust.

University of Central Asia
The University of Central Asia was founded in 2000, and aims to promote the social and economic development of Central Asia, particularly its mountain societies. It is establishing three campuses, in Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhstan. The International Treaty and Charter that established this secular and private university was signed jointly by the Presidents of those three countries, and the founder His Highness the Aga Khan.
UCA brings with it the commitment and partnership of the broader Aga Khan Development Network, offering an internationally recognised standard of higher education in Central Asia.
In addition to providing high-level education, UCA enables the different peoples of the region to preserve and draw upon their rich cultural traditions and heritages as assets for the future. It seeks to contribute leadership, ideas, and innovations to the transitioning economies and communities of the region through modern educational and vigorous research programmes that produce knowledgeable, skilled and creative graduates.
UCA and the Cambridge Trust work together to offer the University of Central Asia Cambridge Scholarship, for postgraduate students from the UCA region whose studies reflect the current focus subjects of the UCA.

Victor Pinchuk Foundation
The Victor Pinchuk Foundation is a philanthropic organisation based in the Ukraine, established in 2006 by the businessman and public figure Victor Pinchuk. One of its initiatives is WorldWideStudies, which aims to foster a new generation of Ukrainian professionals.
It enables talented young Ukrainians to obtain Masters degrees at some of the world's most respected universities, in the fields of agricultural studies, environment and ecology, law and public administration.
WorldWideStudies works with the Cambridge Trust to enhance the scholarships available for applicants from Ukraine, by co-funding the WorldWideStudies Cambridge Scholarship for Masters students.

Wing Yip
Mr Wing Yip is the founder of the Wing Yip corporation, now widely recognised as the UK's leading Chinese and Oriental supplier, with stores and a national distribution network supplying the majority of Chinese restaurants throughout the country.
It is an established family business with two generations of the Wing Yip family currently involved in the day-to-day running of the Group.
Mr Yip, in collaboration with the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in London, Churchill College and the Cambridge Trust, has donated the Wing Yip Cambridge Scholarship, which is available to Chinese students from Peking University or Tsinghua University who apply to take a Master's degree at the University of Cambridge.

Woolf Fisher Trust
The late Sir Woolf Fisher was a passionate supporter of education in New Zealand. In 1960 he founded the Woolf Fisher Trust for the advancement of scientific and general education in New Zealand through its prestigious fellowships and scholarships.
The Trust has always sought to uphold the guiding principles and values of its founder, and hopes that recipients of Woolf Fisher Fellowships and Scholarships will demonstrate some of the qualities which Sir Woolf himself embodied over a long and successful career as an industrial pioneer and leader: integrity, kindness and generosity, leadership, boldness of vision and exceptional zeal, keenness and capacity for work.
In 2014 the Trust was invited to join the University of Cambridge's Vice-Chancellor's Circle, in recognition of its generous support of postgraduate students over many years.

Yayasan DayaDiri
Yayasan DayaDiri is a Malaysian foundation that funds various education and community development initiatives for the Bumiputera community.
It supports people at all levels of education, from secondary school through university and on to executive education programmes. It also funds community-based organisations in implementing programmes that have direct positive impact in improving the general welfare, socio-economic and education qualities of indigenous people in Malaysia.
The foundation works with the Cambridge Trust to offer the DayaDiri Cambridge Scholarship, available to Bumiputera citizes of Malaysia who apply to take an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of Cambridge.
