Canadian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies
The Canadian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies provides scholarships for Law students at the University of Cambridge, and also provides senior lawyers and judges with an opportunity to attend lectures and to engage in discussions beyond the scope of their daily work.
Earlier in 2017 the Institute was invited to join the University of Cambridge's Vice-Chancellor's Circle, in recognition of its generous support of Canadian students .
CIALS works with the Cambridge Trust to offer The Right Honourable Paul Martin Sr Scholarship at Cambridge University, named after the founder of the Institute, who studied at the University of Cambridge, and later returned to England as Canada's High Commissioner to the UK.
