Ministry of Education, Taiwan
The Ministry of Education in Taiwan recognises that the cultivation of human talent is a high priority for all educators and scholars. It works to enhance the quality of education in Taiwan, and has implemented many educational reforms.
Since 2011, the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Cambridge Trust have collaborated to offer the Taiwan Cambridge Scholarship programme. This programme marked the first formal agreement between Taiwan and the University of Cambridge. The scholarship programme provides full funding to PhD students each year, in any academic discipline and at any College within Cambridge.
In order to facilitate the smooth running of the programme, the Cambridge Trust works closely with the Education Division at the Taipei Representative Office in the UK (in London).
